This Week With Dewm #8
So, tell me, what'd you think of Vorcium's first chapter? Thus far I heard it was really good, like, really good. And that caught me off guard. I figured it was going to be alright, I didn't know it was going to be... achem... "One of the greatest; if not THE greatest thing I've ever read". That's a pretty fucking powerful statement. But, hey, I tried my best, and my best means a lot. So there you have it.
The second chapter, Icelated, is already in the works. If I were to predict when it'll be coming out, at its earliest will be VERY late May, at its latest? Late July. That is, if I work on it as much as I did with the first chapter.
- Spoilers for the book included here, read with caution:
- The only thing I was afraid of was one specific potential plot hole and how it ended. For example, towards the very end, Maximus single-handedly fights off like, 14 guys at once, then gets killed by one guy. Though, to be fair, he gets killed by the one guy directly after that fight with the 14 enemies, so of course he's heavily worn out. Plus the Demon Troopers are fucking stupid and suck. They're incredibly disposable soldiers. But their strength comes from numbers and surprise tactics, which is the only reason they haven't been crushed by the Knights yet. Then there was the ending, intense sword fight, then right after that intense fight, it fades to black. That's some "Hey the train is going top speed let's pull the emergency brakes" kind of shit. But hey, it will be talked about in Chapter 2 so anything you may have had some questions about will be answered, in time.
I will also be writing a "Vorcium Encyclopedia" you can read in the background of the book itself. So, if you have a question or want some fun facts about something in the book, you can switch to the Encyclopedia. For example, in the book the KTTS is just thrown in, out of nowhere, with little explination or a description even. But the Encyclopedia will help with that, telling you EVERYTHING you need to know about the KTTS, as well as some extra bits of info.
Hey, do you wanna beer? Or do you wanna smoke some pot? Or we can have premarital sex!
You excited for the Friday the 13th game? I'm excited for the Friday the 13th game. If I hear one more motherfucker say it looks like Dead by Daylight I'm going to drown them in Crystal Lake myself. Of course it looks like Dead by Daylight, how else are you going to make a Friday the 13th game?
I don't like sand. It's course and rough and irritating... And it gets everywhere.
So, couple things on Star Wars here, if you couldn't tell by that, bold thing I do most of the time now. So Battlefront 2 has been announced, and good god, it looks good. What's that? A... hold on, bare with me here... a potentially good game published by EA? Maybe so. But DICE is a company of bumbling fucks, so it won't surprise me that Battlefront 2 releases with more bugs than Kim Kardashian's crotch. But it looks promising, and the bugs can be fixed, so the force might just be with this game. My only complaint is that we play as a colored woman. I mean, really guys, REALLY, if Halo Reach was able do let us pick our character's gender and armor over 6 years ago, you can do it too. You don't even need to show the face, and even if you do decide to show the face, you can manage to let us AT LEAST select from a list of pre-selected faces, KOTOR did that shit with flying colors, and that game came out over 13 years ago. It's just kind of lazy.
As for the second thing, well, Lego Star Wars is supposed to be going backwards compatible on Xbox One. But, wait, what? The ORIGINAL Lego Star Wars? Or a bundle of all the Lego Star Wars games? Or the Complete Saga? I'm confused. There was no subtitle to this, just "Lego Star Wars". It can't be the original, it didn't release on 360, only the original Xbox. Who knows. Only time will tell I guess. What they NEED to do is take all the Lego Star Wars games thus far, bundle them all up into one, remaster the graphics, fix some bugs, enhance the custom characters and add a couple bonus missions, but most importantly, add online multiplayer. Sure, the new Force Awakens Lego game has that, but that game is pretty bare bones and doesn't have the same charm as the originals.
Right... what the hell kind of name is "Soap", eh?
The next Call of Duty game has been announced and woah, hold the motherphoning fuck, it's not any of that modern Infinity Ward shit. It's World War 2! Well goddamn, time for a round of applause, Activision finally gets it. They deserve a treat... you fucking abomination of a company.
Anyway, I suppose that resolves some things. I'm sorry I posted this 30 something minutes past the weekly schedule I forgot it was Tuesday until it was super late and writing this took longer than I expected. So fuck me I guess idk.
Re: This Week With Dewm #8
Battlefront one was.. merf. To my point of view at least. Not looking forward to the new one.. nor am i for the new destiny
Also: apparently CoD has been on the making for years which i doubt... I'm more keen to think they saw Battlefield selling like hot buns and thought "lets rush the same shit out and cash in" but i guess time ( and reviews ) will tell. I aint buying either game but both do look good.

The Battlefront reboot was really bad, but the second one looks promising. No season pass, space battles, contains the three main eras of Star Wars, full campaign, hell the most expensive super mega edition of the game is only 70 bucks. It looks like it's going to clean up EVERYTHING wrong with the last one.
The next Destiny is going to be the same shit. You can already buy the next two expansions already, they even have the logos. No doubt it's just the same thing rehashed. I would like it to be good, but, that's not in my power. Bungie's not like they used to be. Hopefully by 2024 when they're finally released from the grip of Activision they can have the creative freedom they've claimed they wanted when they broke off from Microsoft. I think they should just go back to Halo and let Microsoft either merge 343 with Bungie, or they could do what the COD franchise is doing and have the two companies have a cycle, one company will make a Halo game in one year, the other will make one for the next. This leaves two years of development open for both companies, which should be enough.
As for the next COD, it looks good, and I doubt they just looked at Battlefield and wanted to ride on its coattails, I mean, it's not the same company that made Infinite Warfare or Black Ops 3, so their excuse towards having this been in the works for years fits, especially since fans have been asking for a return to its roots for a long time. I'm looking forwards to it.
